2017 BMW 5 Series Review

2017 BMW 5 Series represents a new generation of sedan that has been tested on the Nurburgring track. The new generation brings a change on the outside design, interior cabin and drive performance. The exterior is designed in the tradition of Luxury Future Vision Concept, namely: a new grille, headlights, ventilation, taillights and a redesigned bumper. It have also modernized mirrors, bonnet and side panels. The design of the cabin will be very similar to the previous model with minor changes, such as: the instrument panel, the new button layout on the center console and new security features. The range of the power-train is diversified and includes several engines: the three-cylinder engine, four-cylinder, in-line six, V8 and hybrid drive. The vehicle will reduce the overall weight as it will be built on a light body and improve overall performance. The model is very popular, so expect good sales in the global market.

2017 BMW 5 Series – Engine

2017 BMW 5 Series under the hood hides 1.5-liter three-pot engine, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, 3.0-liter inline six, 4.4-liter V8 and hybrid drive. Hybrid will combine three-pot engine and electric motor and is expected better fuel economy. In addition to the standard set of hybrids will be a four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. Maximum power output will amount to some best 460 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is 7 seconds while the top speed is limited to 155 mph. The engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission. Detailed specifications will be announced later.

2017 BMW 5 Series – Interior

2017 BMW 5 Series brings luxurious interior design. The seats are very comfortable thanks to new materials and other functions. Standard equipment includes new technological features, security system, a new infotainment screen and a revised dashboard. Direct competitors are the Audi A6, Cadillac CTS, Jaguar XF, Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-class. The base price of the model is $ 50,000 while the more luxurious packages have a higher price.
